As of October 2023 I am a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol. Before that I was in the group of Nils Carqueville in Vienna funded by first a Junior Reseach Fellow from the Erwin Schrödinger Institute and then a Cecil King travel scholarship from the LMS. Even before that I was a Senior Research associate at the University of East Anglia with Vanessa Miemietz, and an EPSRC research associate in the School of Mathematics, University of Leeds. I defended my PhD thesis ‘Embedded cobordisms, motion groupoids and topological quantum field theories’ in December 2021, supervised by Paul Martin and João Faria Martins.
I am interested in a variety of areas where topology, algebra, representation theory and category theory arise in mathematical physics.
Some keywords: topological quantum computation, topological quantum field theory, modular tensor categories, statistical mechanics, motion groupoids, mapping class groupoids
